Former Union minister and NDA vice-presidential candidate M Venkaiah Naidu today said all efforts should be made to rescue youth from the influence of drugs.
Participating in a “ Say No to Drugs” programe as chief guest, Venkaiah said it was everybody’s responsibility to rescue youth from this evil which would ruin life of youth. The program was jointly organized by “ Maa” Kalamandir and Harsh Toyata jointly at KBR park. He said it was not proper to assume that only film personalities were involved in drug menace. It was a merely a propaganda as generally cinema people will attract more publicity and the same thing happened in this case also, he added.
Venkaiah Naidu called upon cine personalities and the media to play a constructive role in the campaign against the drugs highlighting evil and injurious affects of it. The BJP leader said the government should take stern action against drug peddlers.
Excise and prohibition officers Chandravadan, Akum Saberwal , politicians and others attended the function.(NSS)
