Bhadohi(UP), August 02: The Bhadohi district administration today cancelled the arms licenses of SP MLA from Gyanpur Vijay Mishra, an absconding history-sheeter at the Handia police station in Allahabad.
Vijay is also the relative of another SP leader Dileep Mishra who is an accused in the cabinet minister Nand Gopal Nandi attack case.
According to police, there are around 34 criminal cases including murder, loot, extortion and attempt to murder against Vijay Mishra and his gang members at Handia police station.
“The SP legislator, who is absconding for past over one year, had licenses for a rifle and a revolver on his name. On the directive of district Magistrate Kanchan Verma they have been cancelled,” a senior police official told PTI.
The notice regarding cancellation of the licences was pasted at residence of the MLA at Kaula village in Gopiganj area, he said.
