Ruling Samajwadi Party candidate Sanjay Lathar is leading by over 1000 votes after two rounds of counting today in the Mant Assembly by-elections where polling was held on June 12.
Mr Lathar was leading over his nearest AITC rival Shyam Sunder Sharma by 1023 votes after two rounds of counting.
The RLD candidate is trailing at the third spot.The by-election was required after RLD general secretary and
Mathura MP Jayant Choudhury resigned after getting elected from the seat in the assembly elections held earlier.
The result is expected later in the day.
