SP to launch anti-Maya govt agitation next month

Lucknow, September 16: Samajwadi Party would launch state-wide agitation in October-end against Mayawati government to protest against alleged corruption, inflation and dismal law and order situation. “Party workers would take to the streets from villages to the state headquarter level to highlight the problems faced by the common people due to the anti-people policies being pursued by the state government”, SP general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav told newspersons here.

Alleging that the state government had no faith in democracy, Yadav claimed that in the past three years, the chief minister has not been meeting her ministerial colleagues, MPs or MLAs on a regular basis, what to say of common people. “The government is being run by a handful of ministers and officials,” he said.

“None of the sections of society was safe in the state under the present government and the most number of problems are being faced by traders, Yadav said.
