Amethi: Sitting MLA and SP candidate for Gauriganj Assembly seat Rakesh Pratap Singh was today booked on the charge of violating the model code of conduct.
Taking cognisance of a video circulating in the social media purportedly showing Singh threatening people to vote for him police registered a case against him, SHO of Gauriganj Police Station, R K Shahi, said.
Singh was not available for comments.
