SP-BSP Alliance: Here’s what UP MIM Chief says

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) formed a pre-poll alliance for parliamentary elections 2019.

Reacting on the alliance, UP MIM Chief, Mr. Shaukat Ali alleged that the motive behind the alliance is to save their parties’ existence. He also said that only MIM can defeat BJP.

In order to support his claim, he cited the example of Telangana Assembly Polls.

Criticizing the alliance, he said that SP-BSP and BJP are the two sides of the same coin.

He further alleged that the alliance of SP-BSP neglected Muslim leadership despite the fact that there is a large number of Muslim voters in UP.

Talking about MIM’s stand to contest for Lok Sabha seats from UP, Mr. Shaukat said that the final decision will be taken by the president of MIM, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi.
