Bihar, August 25: Suddenly, Khoonti and Masan River got flooded due to which SP Dr Siddharth and SDM Rajiv Kumar Singh got trapped in Raibari Mahua village in Bagah district of Bihar.
With them, many officers and soldiers have also been mired in the flood.
Tention was spread in Raibari Mahua village in Mahavir Jhanda fair on Tuesday, after which a police force led by SP and SDM reached the village.
Suddenly, Masan River got flooded and the police team got stuck.
Bhairogand Police charge, Bhagirath Prasad swam down, but others are still trapped in the flood and efforts are on to rescue them.
Rain which occurred in some areas of Nepal has created havoc in Bagah.
Crossing the data of last five years, 4 lakh 16 thousand cusec of water has been released from Valmiki Nagar Gandak Barrage, making hundreds of villages in the six blocks of Bagah district completely surrounded by floodwaters.
All rivers in the region have crossed the danger mark. With the floods, erosion has started in many areas of Bagah and Ramnagar.
Rail section is likely to be affected in Gorakhpur Narkatiyagunj. Most of the villages around the district headquarters including Bagah Valmiki Nagar are completely disconnected.
Due to the devastation caused by the floods, the administration has ordered to evacuate the village in Daira area.
