Ranchi, May 30: The fate of the minority Shibu Soren government in Jharkhand remained uncertain on the eve of trust vote tomorrow with the Congress and its ally JVM(P) not spelling out their stand.
In a last ditch attempt, the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today asked legislators to listen “to their inner voice” and vote for Soren to avoid President’s rule or mid-term polls.
Congress leader in the 82-member House, Rajendra Prasad Singh said the party with 14 MLAs would take a decision in the morning tomorrow in consultation with its ally Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantric) having eleven legislators.
The JMM, which has 18 MLAs, needs the support of the 42 members to sail through the confidence vote. Currently the government has the support of 25 MLAs — JMM-18, AJSU-5 and Independent 2.
