Kochi, December 24: Soofiya Madani, wife of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani and 10th accused in the 2005 Tamil Nadu bus burning case, was shifted from Alappuzha Medical College Hospital to a private hospital here tonight.
Soofiya, who was under treatment for various health problems in the medical college hospital, was brought to Lakeshore Hospital at around 9 pm, hospital sources said.
She was granted conditional bail by Ernakulam Sessions Court yesterday. The court had directed her not to leave Ernakulam district and appear before investigating officials as and when required.
She was arrested on December 17 after the Kerala High Court dismissed her anticipatory bail application in connection with the case. Later she was remanded to 14 days judicial custody and was lodged at the Ernakulam sub-jail.
However, on her complaints of ill health, Soofiya was shifted to the medical college hospital on December 20.
