Kochi, September 22: A court here today relaxed the bail condition of Soofiya Madani, an accused in a bus burning case, permitting her to meet her husband and PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani, now in a Bangalore jail.
Passing the order on her petition, NIA court judge S Vijaykumar relaxed the condition for two weeks and directed Soofiya to give details of her travel and stay at Bangalore to the National Investigation Agency, probing the case.
As per her bail condition, Soofiya cannot leave Ernakaulam district without the court’s permission.
She had been permitted by the court three times earlier to visit Madani at Kollam. However, this is the first time she is being allowed to go out of the state.
Madani was arrested by Karnataka Police last month in connection with the 2008 Bangalore bomb blasts that left a woman dead besides injuring 20 others.
