Sonu Niigaam turns brand ambassador for BIG 92.7 FM

Mumbai, September 17: Sonu Niigaam Big 92.7 FM, the radio venture of Reliance ADAG’s Adlabs Radio, has appointed Sonu Niigaam as its new brand ambassador after repositioning its music offerings to ‘Chillax Hits’ in Mumbai and Delhi.

Considered as one of the country’s biggest music entertainer, Sonu Niigaam will feature in a multi-media campaign spanning radio, print, outdoor, television, online and mobile, which will be launched soon and will also be a part of key properties on the station.

Confirming the development, Tarun Katial (COO, Big 92.7 FM) said: “Our association with Sonu Nigam goes back a long way, right since the inception of Big 92.7 FM and he was the most natural choice as our brand ambassador. Niigaam offered the country some of the best ‘Chillax Hits’ and has earned the respect and love of not just people in India, but from Indian’s across the world.”

In the past, Abhishek Bachchan has endorsed the radio channel. Bachchan’s contract with BIG FM expired last year.

The radio channel has also decided to spend nearly Rs 10 million to promote the repositioning of the brand. Apart from this, the channel has also tied up with Bigflix. com, Reliance web world and Zapak to promote the repositioning.
