Sonia warns defiant Telangana MPs

Congress president Sonia Gandhi has expressed displeasure at the MPs of her party from the Telangana region when they tried to stall the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

The main Opposition BJP stalled the proceedings on the Assam issue, while some other parties raised the issue of massacre of Sikhs in the USA. There was bedlam in the House, when the Telangana Congress MPs also raised the ‘Telangana’ issue and tried to grab attention.

Sonia Gandhi, who expressed her anger at the BJP and made that party leader L K Advani withdraw certain remarks, had not spared the Telangana Congress members either.

Sonia Gandhi angrily questioned the ‘T’ MPs to state the difference between the ruling party and the Opposition. She was not convinced when some MPs tried to explain the issue to her. She told them to go out if they want to protest and warned that they would be sent out and would not be allowed in again if they tried to obstruct the proceedings.

Silenced by the anger of their supremo, Telangana Congress MPs silently left the House.
