Jaipur, October 02: Congress president Sonia Gandhi will address a public meeting in Nagaur district of Rajasthan today to mark the golden jubilee of launch of Panchayti Raj.
She will arrive in Nagaur, 287 km from the state capital, in the afternoon and address a gathering on the occasion of 50 years of Panchayti Raj, which was launched in the district on October 2, 1959 by first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, officials said.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Union Minister C P Joshi and state Cabinet ministers will also participate in the function, they said.
