Reiterating that the Congress was following a particular path with regard to Telangana issue, PCC Chief Botcha Sathyanarayana has said that as PCC Chief he never misinformed the party high command. He said that the party high priests never considered the Telangana issue as a trivial one.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Botcha said that the issue was very sensitive and the Congress was thinking of finding a solution that should not harm any region and in the process the high command was taking more time. He said that the Congress would go to the ensuing bye-elections with ‘development and welfare’ slogans. He said that the YSR Congress Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought about the bye-elections for spending his ‘Dochukunna Sommu’ (ill-gotten wealth).
The PCC chief also made it clear that there would be no replacement of the Chief Minister till 2014 elections. He never hesitated to talk to the leaders, who criticized the party and the Chief Minister.
Lashing out at TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu for alleging that the Congress had introduced the ‘money culture’ in the elections, Botcha said that Naidu was the person who had introduced that culture in the elections.
Admitting that the Legislature budget session did not run properly, Botcha said that the Opposition parties did not cooperate with the government deliberately in this regard. The Opposition parties were talking something at the BAC meeting and doing opposite on the floor of the House, he bemoaned. (NSS)
