New Delhi, February 06 (INN): Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday had a detailed discussion with Congress president Sonia Gandhi over the prevailing political situation in the State. Incharge of State Congress Ghulam Nabi Azad and Sonia’s political secretary Ahmed Patel were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting which lasted for about 50 minutes, the Chief Minister has reportedly discussed cabinet expansion and the on-going protest that the IAS officials have registered over CBI probe into various scams. The Congress president has reportedly given nod for another minor expansion of cabinet. Sources say that the expansion might be limited to induction of three ministers from the Telangana region. However, there might be some changes in the portfolios of ministers.
The cabinet expansion is likely to be held on February 9. The Congress high command has directed the chief minister not to drop any minister from his council. (INN)
