Hyderabad, January 19: Handlooms and small industries minister Dr. Shankar Rao opined that there is nothing wrong in inclusion of Telangana Congress leaders in union ministry. Expressing happiness over the appointment of a Telangana person as Advocate General of the State for the first time, the Handlooms and Textiles minister Dr P Shankar Rao exuded confidence that the Centre would create separate Telangana state soon. Now no one needs to commit suicide or resign. He claimed.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Tuesday, Dr Shankar Rao said that even the Justice Srikrishna Committee had mentioned in its report that the sentiment was very strong in Telangana region. Supporting the MPs for aspiring for Union Minister posts, he, however, added that separate Telangana state was the only solution to the problems of the region. He also opined that resignations were not a solution to the Telangana issue. He said that there was no need for concern or worry about Hyderabad city, as expressed by some people, and added that the TATA management has come forward to establish it’s project.
The Minister requested the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to induct the AICC general secretary Mr Rahul Gandhi into the Union Cabinet in the forth coming Cabinet expansion and advised him to allot the Youth and Women Welfare ministry to Rahul.
