New Delhi, Apr. 19 (ANI): UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi held a strategy meeting with senior leaders here on Friday ahead of the second phase of Parliament”s Budget Session beginning on Monday.
Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, who is the Leader of Lok Sabha, was present in today”s meeting along with Defence Minister A.K. Antony, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath and Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh.
Gandhi”s Political Secretary Ahmed Patel was also present in the meeting, which took place a day after the political parties agreed to bring the Land Acquisition Bill in second half of Parliament”s Budget Session.
The consensus on the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill 2011 was reached at an all-party meeting convened here on Thursday by the Congress-led UPA II Government. (ANI)
