Hyderabad, December 18: AICC president Sonia Gandhi is genuinely concerned over the political crisis in Andhra Pradesh and wants the Union government to defuse the situation through a consensus that will be to the satisfaction of people of all regions, says Lok Satta Party president Jayaprakash Narayan.
Dr. Jayaprakash, who met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday to discuss the situation in the State, called on Ms. Gandhi on Thursday. Speaking to this correspondent from New Delhi, Dr. Jayaprakash said Ms. Gandhi was deeply disappointed with the way major political parties backtracked on their earlier stance on Telangana.
