New Delhi: It was ‘reel meeting real’ moment for Sonam Kapoor when she joined Neerja Bhanot’s family this Lohri.
The 30-year-old actress, who is portraying Neerja Bhanot in her upcoming biopic ‘Neerja’ took to her twitter handle yesterday to share the moment of her happiness.
“Celebrating lohri in Punjab thanks to #aneeshbhanot #akhilbhanot and fly for letting me join in the celebration! Happy lohri everyone!” she tweeted.
Sonam along with director Ram Madhvani, producer Atul Kasbekar and the ‘Neerja’ team were in Chandigarh yesterday to attend the ‘Neerja Bhanot Bravery awards’ which is held on January 13 every year.
Tweeting about the event, the ‘ Khoobsurat’ actress wrote, “Neerja’s motherland Chandigarh for the Neerja Bhanot Pan Am awards.., Missing her mother Rama Ji. She would have been 87 Today. Had the honour of presenting the award to @subhashinivasant for her incredible work with families of martyrs .. I’m humbled to be on this stage and I’m privileged to tell the story of a 23 year old girl who save 359 lives.. Saluting Neerja and all the awardees!” (ANI)
