Hyderabad: Kanchanbagh Police arrested a man who hatched a conspiracy for throwing acid on the face of his mother-in-law.
According to the details of the incident, Qadeer Baig (27), an auto driver married Saba Tabassum in 2014. The couple has two children. Saba had done beautician course and wanted to go to Dubai for a job but her husband did not permit her. The couple used to quarrel frequently. The mother of the woman, Sadiya Begum lodged a complaint against Qadeer at Falaknuma Mahila Mandal. After the family counselling, the woman decided to seek ‘Qula’ from her husband but Qadeer refused it as a result of which, Saba Tabassum started living in her mother’s house located at Balapur. Her mother, Sadiya Begum did not allow Qadeer to meet his children. He, therefore, developed enmity.
On 14th June, Qadeer Baig gave Rs. 20000 to two of his friends namely, Mohammed Waseem and Mohammed Dashtagir with an assignment to attack his wife and in-laws. Both the accused reached his in-law’s house and threw acid on Sadiya Begum.
She was rushed to the hospital.
Kanchan Bagh Police registered a case and arrested the son-in-law and his two companions. They were given in judicial custody.
