New Delhi, June 16: A 65-year-old retired government clerk was killed allegedly by his son in the national capital over the elderly man’s “extra marital affair”, police said on Monday.
Satish Prakash, his friend Sahil, and two of their accomplices allegedly killed Raghubir Singh on June 13, they said.
Prakash and Sahil have been arrested, a senior police officer said, adding search is on to nab the other two involved in the murder.
Singh, a retired clerk with Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), was murdered at his residence in Outer Delhi’s Alipur area, the police said.
During interrogation, Prakash allegedly told the police that he hatched a conspiracy to kill his father along with his three associates.
Prakash said his father’s extra-marital affair and his emotional detachment from the family were the reasons behind the crime, police alleged.
Prakash runs a small grocery shop in a room at their residence in Alipur and has no criminal past, while his friend is a casual labour working in a nearby factory.
Police said investigations into the matter are on.
