In a collision involving two cars, a man was killed while his father escaped with injuries in the limits of Shamirpet police station limits during the early hours on Sunday.
According to Shamirpet police, an Alto driven by Anand Reddy (40) was going towards Keesara village, while Swift car driven by Sridhar (35) was coming towards Outer Ring Road at Shamirpet. At a turning near Anthaipally, both the vehicles had a sudden head-on collision, resulting in instant death of Anand Reddy, while his father Krishna Reddy (72) and Sridhar (35) escaped with fractures on limbs and ribs. Both father and son were going towards their farm, situated close to Keesara.
Shamirpet police registered a case and shifted the dead body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Krishna Reddy and Sridhar were taken to private hospitals for treatment. (INN)
