Hyderabad: Son and daughter-in-law got two years imprisonment and fined Rs 10,000 each for grabbing mother’s house, on Monday in a trial. Neredmet police reacting on a complaint made by mother has registered a case against Amit Kumar (40) and Shobitha Lavanya (34) who were threating her and intent to grab her house in Kakatiya Nagar Colony.
B. James Babu, Sub-Inspector of Police said, “Complainant E Prema Kumari after her husband’s death was living alone, her elder son along with his wife forcibly started living with Prema Kumari with an intention to grab the house and later they started abusing and threating her to vacate the house. On July 13 Prema Kumari has a lodged a complaint against son and his wife.
Later police took up the investigation and filed a charge sheet in the Magistrate Court and during trial, the accused were sent for the 2 years of imprisonment conviction for threating and grabbing mother’s house and fine of Rs. 10,000 was announced by the court.
