These days some politicians who themselves helped the encroachers of waqf land claim to be active for protection of awqaf and trying to make belief that the protection of waqf properties is possible because of them.
In a similar such incident the authorities of Deccan Waqf properties after a toil of whole day reached waqf board officials, police authority and ruling congress leaders and succeeded in putting a halt to illegal construction on waqf property of Toli Masjid Karwan but some politicians have tried to take credit of the achievement.
The irony is that the leaders, who have claimed to reach the authorities of waqf board against illegal construction, might perhaps have not even stepped into the office of waqf board in the recent days.
