Telugu Desam Telangana Forum Convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Saturday set two-day deadline for the State Government to resolve the power crisis in the State.
Talking to media persons after lodging a complaint with State Consumer Forum at Khairatabad seeking its intervention, he accused the State Government of having failed to supply of promised power to the people and farmers. In the petition, Errabelli Dayakar said that the government has cheated the farmers by promising seven hour power supply and demanded that the government compensate for the crop loss.
Despite the severity of the problem, he alleged that the government was not making any efforts to tide over the crisis by finding alternative sources. He warned that the TDP activists would lay siege to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s residence if he fails to address the problem by Monday.
TDP senior leader Galli Muddukrishnama Naidu alleged that the Congress leaders were visiting New Delhi to protect their posts at a time when the people and farmers were facing serious problems due to shortage of power supply. At least now the leaders should concentrate on addressing the people’s issue and otherwise they would revolt against the government, he stated.
MLAs Motkupalli Narsimhulu, B Goplala Krishna Reddy, Narsa Reddy, Seethakka and Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh were also present.
