Solve drinking water problem of Mahabubnagar: Nagam

Mahbubnagar, February 02 (INN): Telangana Nagara Samithi president Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday threatened that he would lay siege to Mahbubnagar District Collectorate if the government failed to address the drinking water problem issue in the district.

Talking to media persons here, Janardhan Reddy slammed the government for its failure in solving the drinking water problem and said that he would picket District Collectorate if the district administration failed to find a solution to it within a week. He said that the people of the district were facing lot of inconvenience, and added that the problem would be compounded during summer.

Responding to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s statement that some parties had to make their stand clear on Telangana, he said that Chidambaram was issuing such statements in order to delay solution.

The attitude of Centre clearly showed that it wanted to dilute the agitation through coercive methods, he pointed out. (INN)
