According to the press note issued by Planetary Society of India, total solar eclipse will occur on March 9 in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It will begin 4.49 a.m. and going through various phases will end on 10.05 a.m. In India, it will be visible from 6.47 a.m., till 6.52 a.m. in North East. This will be the first solar eclipse of the current year.
Observation of eclipse is being organised by Planetary Society of India at Tank Bund in Telangana and at R K Beach in Andhra Pradesh. Germany made solar filters are available at the cost of Rs. 100 each. They can be obtained from Khadi Gram Udyog Bhandar opp. E Seva near Kothi maternity hospital, Sultan Bazar.
