Sohrabuddin case: Shah opposes apex court’s CBI probe order

New Delhi, November 24: The Supreme Court was told Thursday that its 2010 order directing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the 2005 Sohrabuddin Sheikh staged shootout killing in Gujarat suffered from an ‘apparent bias’ and there was a ‘motivation to please the CBI’.

Senior counsel Ram Jethmalani, appearing for accused and former Gujarat minister Amit Shah, urged an apex court bench of Justice Aftab Alam and Justice R.P. Desai to declare the proceedings flowing from the court’s order Jan 12, 2010 on CBI probe as invalid.
