Ahmedabad, October 26: A special court today granted CBI permission to collect voice samples of three accused in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case for comparing it with the audio-video evidence collected against them.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate A Y Dave hearing the application granted permission to collect voice sample of N V Chauhan, N K Amin and Abhay Chudasama.
The court, however, disallowed CBI to collect voice samples of accused Ajay Patel and Yashpal Chudasama, saying that they were not arrested in the case and charges against them are premature.
Amin, who wants to become an approver in the case, has already agreed to give his voice sample for verification.
