Karachi : Pakistan paceman Sohail Khan, who has recovered fully from a back injury sustained after last year’s World Cup, has described the match against arch-rivals India in the 50-overs pinnacle event as his best performance and said that he will try to replicate the same if he gets the national call up.
The 32-year-old made a strong comeback against India in the World Cup after a gap of four years, returning superb figures of 5-55.
Sohail, however, has not featured for Pakistan since suffering the injury and is now eyeing a return into the national squad.
He has declared himself completely fit and is playing for the ongoing Pakistan Cup. Sohail insisted that he was on top of the world to get a five-wicket haul in his World Cup debut,the Dawn reported.
Expressing his desire to make a return, Sohail revealed that he has not yet received any call from the Pakistan Cricket Board, adding that he is eagerly waiting for an opportunity to represent his nation at the international level. (ANI)
