Software firm dupes employees

Hyderabad, March 08: Angry employees of a private software firm on Monday damaged the office furniture of the firm after the management duped them by collecting huge amounts from them on the pretext of training and later not giving them salaries for the past five months.

According to Miyapur police, the firm Mandmas Info Services Private Limited was set up in an apartment at Allwyn Colony a year ago by Raj Kumar, the managing director of the firm.

Over the past one year, they collected nearly Rs.50,000 to Rs.2 lakh each from unemployed youth on the pretext of training them as software engineers and later recruiting them in their company. The management reportedly collected nearly Rs.2 crore from the aspirants in this way. After the training, the firm promised them a salary of Rs.12,000 to its employees but were not giving it since the past five months. As the pressure mounted, the management told the employees that the salary arrears would be settled on Monday.

However, the company management did not turn up inviting the wrath of the employees. They ransacked the office furniture and even tried to take away valuable furniture from there but were prevented by the police.

Miyapur police registered a case and are investigating.
