Sodium nitrite up on buying support

New Delhi, May 08: Sodium nitrite prices rose by Rs 100 per 50 kg in the national capital today on increased buying by consuming industries against fall in supplies. Firming trends at growing regions also influenced sodium nitrite prices.

Sodium nitrite prices rose by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 1,900-2,100 per 50 kg. Marketmen said increased buying support from consuming units against fall in supplies, mainly led to rise in sodium nitrite prices.

Following are today”s quotations: Ammonium chloride (50 kg), Rs 1,500-2,400, acetic acid (1 kg) Rs 38, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) Rs 450-500, boric acid technical (50 kg) Rs 3,500-3,800, borex granular (50 kg) Rs 1,850-2,100. Caustic soda flake (50 kg) Rs 1,050-1,100, citric acid (50 kg) (China) Rs 2,600-3,050, citric acid deshi (50 kg) Rs 2,500-3,000, camphor slab (1 kg) Rs 320, camphor powder (1 kg) Rs 310, glycerine (1 kg) Rs 115-120, hexamine (1 kg) Rs 80, hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) Rs 33-35, mercury (34.5 kg) Rs 57,000, menthol bold crystal (per kg) Rs 870, menthol flake (1kg) Rs 840 and mentha oil (1 kg) Rs 780.
