While expressing views on the importance of of social media, senior journalist Ravinder Makhaik today said the social media is posing a threat to print and electronic media as it was rapidly dominating other form of conventional media and it is unregulated and uncontrolled making irrelevant the geographic boundary globally.
Mr Makhaik said this while delivering an inaugural address in a discussion on the theme of ‘Emerging Importance of Social Media: Public Relations Perspective’ in Bachat Bhawan at Deputy Commissioner’s office, here to mark the National Public Relations Day, organised by the Public Relations Society of India.
