TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu today claimed that social justice was the criterion for selection of candidates for the MLC elections.
Speaking to the media, Naidu said social justice, hard work and commitment to the party were looked into, while selecting the candidates. He said Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Salim and Samantakamani were selected for the three MLC seats the party would be able to win.
He said there were several, who laid down even their lives for the party.
Referring to the unhappiness expressed by Leader of the Opposition in the Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, Naidu said it was natural and any one else in his place would respond in the same way.
He said there was no scope for favour or fervour in the selection and all the party leaders were equal.
