New Delhi[India]: Following the footsteps of search engine giant Google, the Social media app, Snapchat, now known as Snap Inc, has released its own video-recording glasses called ‘Spectacles’.
The glasses can record video up to 10 seconds at a time by tapping a button on the device.
The video is then synced to the user’s snapchat account via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
With a tap on a button mounted on the frames records another clip, while a ring of tiny lights lets people know you’re recording.
The glasses, which can be recharged in their case, will come in one size and be available on a limited basis.
They’ll come in three colors — black, teal and coral with inaugural price of $130.
Although unlike the app, which entirely depended on the phone’s camera, Spectacles has its own wireless camera.
Snapchat has been the leading proponent of vertical video–smartphone clips produced by holding the phone in the vertical, instead of horizontal position,
Some of its core features have been copied extensively by its competition lately and the newly introduced connected sunglasses offer a whole new opportunity and audience for the company. (ANI)
