New Delhi: People travelling on the Yellow line of the Delhi Metro had a tough time on Friday as trains were running slow due to a “signalling issue”.
A Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official said that due to some issues in the operation centre, the coordination between trains — which is otherwise done through an automated system — had to be done manually.
“Due to signalling issue at interlocking stations of Rajiv Chowk, Kashmere Gate and Vishwavidyala of the Yellow line, trains were manually given routes from 11.30 a.m. to 12.04 p.m.,” he said.
He said it caused a delay as trains were stuck one after the other during this period.
The problem was rectified later and the trains moved normally.
