International cricket star of Hyderabad VVS Lakshman here on Saturday said smoking would destroy precious health of smokers.
Lakshman participated in the anti-smoking program held under the aegis of Kamineni Hospital on the occasion of Anti-Tobacco Day today. The cricketer spoke about the disastrous effects of smoking and tried to create awareness among the people.
Lakshman, who was the chief guest at the program, also participated in a rally started from Chaitanyapuri Colony to Indoor Stadium. Speaking on the occasion, he said smoking would be the greatest hurdle for the youths in achieving goals. Apart from ruining their health, smokers would lose heavily in the life due to the bad habit, he added. (NSS)
