Steven Smith held his ground as he remained unbeaten on 175 to propel his side to a strong 350-8 at lunch on day two of the second Test against West Indies at Kingston.
Resuming at an overnight score of 258-4, Australia lost wickets in quick succession as Jerome Taylor scalped Shane Watson (25) and Brad Haddin (22).
Meanwhile, Jason Holder removed Mitchell Starc for six runs and Kemar Roach dismissed Mitchell Johnson for five.
However, Smith played an obdurate innings after notching up his ninth century, with Hazlewood giving him company at the middle. (ANI)
