Hyderabad: Senior IPS Officer, Mr. Shaik Mohammed Iqbal has been promoted by Govt. of A.P. as Inspector General of Police, Rayalaseema Region. He has also taken charge of his new post.
It may be mentioned that consequent on his promotion as IG of Police, Mr. Iqbal has relinquished the charge of Commissioner of Minorities welfare and Special Officer of Wakf, A.P.
It is reported that Govt. of A.P. has plans to get back Mr. Iqbal to A.P. Wakf Board to entrust him Wakf affairs. As Commissioner of A.P. Wakf Board, Mr. Iqbal had introduced many reforms in Wakf Board.
