Hyderabad: Jamat-e-Islami of India supported the decree (Fatwa) issued by Darul Uloom Devband and declared that the slogan “Bharat Mata ki Jai” is un-Islamic and no Muslim can ever think of raising this slogan. This was stated by Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, Ameer of Jamat-e-Islami of Telangana and Odisha in a press statement released yesterday. He said that Jamat-e-Islami fully supports the fatwa. Darul Uloom Devband has clarified in specific terms that according to the religious belief of the Hindus, “Bharat Mata” is a goddess which why worship.
