Sleazy pictures of J&K IAS Officer viral on social media

Srinagar: After being caught on camera in inappropriate and objectionable manner, 2010 batch IAS officer was removed from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur.

The Jammu and Kashmir government took the decision after the official’s sleazy photographs with two women in a hotel room have gone viral on social media via WhatsApp.

The officer is now attached in Jammu in the office of Divisional Commissioner. “Pending the inquiry into his conduct, Niraj Kumar, IAS (JK 2010), Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, is hereby attached to the office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu,” said an official order.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Arvind Sharma, Udhampur has been assigned to look after the work of Deputy Commissioner after the officer’s removal until further orders are given.

The sleazy photographs were circulated through WhatsApp on Thursday and went viral on social media. The pictures show the officer and the two other women inebriated state reportedly taken during the officer’s brief stay in a hotel room.

So far, the officer has not made any comments in his defence.
