Six policemen injured in attack

Darbhanga, April 11: Six policemen including a sub-inspector were injured when villagers attacked a police team at Dhabolia village in Bihar’s Darbhanga district today, police sources said.

A police team led by the Sub-inspector Markende Singh went to the village to execute warrants of arrest against some accused persons in a criminal case, sources said, adding the villagers attacked the policemen opposing the arrest of the accused persons.

Heavy re-enforcements led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Anjani Kumar Singh soon reached the village on receiving information about the incident and controlled the situation.

Four persons have been arrested in this connection, the sources added.
