Raipur, March 19: Six Naxals were arrested from the forest area of Bastar district in Chhattisgarh and two guns and explosives seized from them, police said today.
The Naxals were holding a “meeting” in the forest area near village Hitameta and Nardongri when they were noticed by the security forces who were patrolling in the area, they said, adding the group started fleeing after sensing the presence of police but could not and were arrested.
Two loaded guns and some explosives were also seized from them, police said.
Further investigation into the matter was on.
