Six Naxals arrested in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh, September 15: Chhattisgarh police on Wednesday arrested six Naxals, including two women from Rajnandgaon and Kanker districts.

Four Naxals carrying rewards on their heads and two women were arrested from Rajnandgaon and Kanker respectively, senior police officials said.

The four Naxals, identified as Jangu, Suruj, Lalsai and Kunwar Sinh, were arrested from Mehka and Kunjkanhar villages of Rajnandgaon following a tip off while two women Naxals were held from Gudsel village of Kanker district, they said.

The four arrested Naxals face the charges of setting afire a forest department office, murder and attempt to murder along with other charges, they said.

Arms and ammunition were also seized from the arrested Naxals, police officials said.
