Six more districts to be declared as Naxalite affected areas, Mr. Jairam Ramesh talks to CM

Hyderabad, August 07: Mr. Jairam Ramesh informed that Govt. of India is considering a proposal to declare six more districts in A.P. as Naxalite affected areas. He told the Chief Minister that A.P. is an exemplary state in controlling Naxalite activities.

He also informed that Srikakulam, Vizanagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Warangal & Karimnagar would be declared as the Naxalite affected areas. Under the P.M.’s Road Building scheme Rs. 11,000 crore will be spent for constructing roads & other basic amenities. He announced a grant of Rs. 170 crore for employment generation schemes and for providing basic infrastructure in Naxalite affected areas. He assured that he will release Rs. 10 crore for the construction of godowns in A.P.
