Six more children rescued in Raj, two held

Udaipur(Raj), July 18: Six children, including a girl, were today rescued in Rajasthan’s Falasia district while they were being taken to work as labourers in cotton fields in Gujarat.

The incident comes two days after the Rajasthan police intercepted three jeeps at Panarva Tiraha and Dachala Chowki and rescued 45 children belonging to the age group of eight to 16 years.

The children belonging to poor families of Jhadol and Nai Thana tehsils were being taken by a jeep to Gujarat while police intercepted it at Falasia, ASI Banshi Lal Meena said.

One Gautam and driver Shivram, both residents of Jhadol tehsil, were taken into custody, he said.
