Patna, April 18:At least six people were killed in different incidents at separate places during the past 24 hours in Bihar.
Police here today said that two siblings were run over and killed on the spot by a truck at Shahpur market under Shahpur police station late last night.
The accident took place when the children were sleeping along with their parents on the roadside. The driver of the truck escaped along with truck from the spot.
According to a report from Jamui quoting police, a group of armed Maoists attacked a tower of private cellular company at Dayaldih village under Khaira police station and set the tower ablaze.
he Maoists also fired indiscriminately in which a child sustained bullet injuries and died on the spot. The Maoists left pamphlets, asking the people to boycott the Panchayat polls and for blacklisting the candidates contesting the elections.
A report from Siwan said a youth was run over by a truck near Fatehpur bypass turning under Town police station.
According to an official report from Muzaffarpur, 25-year-old youth Brajesh of Raxaul was shot dead by some unidentified criminals when he was returning after withdrawing money from an ATM at Companybagh locality under town police station.
The criminals looted the money from the deceased and escaped from the spot.
A report from Samastipur said a youth was shot dead by his rival group following land dispute at Ladaura village under Kalyanpur police station area.
