Six people were killed in different road accidents in the city and its outskirts.
A 52-year-old man, G Manaiah, who got severely injured after the motorcycle he was riding, was hit by an auto-rickshaw died on Friday. He met with the accident near Amberpet on November 20 and was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died. He was a resident of Hayathnagar.
In Falaknuma police limits, an unidentified man of about 60 years died on the spot after he was hit by a lorry while crossing the road. His body has been preserved at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem and identification.
In another case, 28-year-old Sibu Soren died of injuries which he suffered when the bike he was riding was hit by a van near Pilla No 14 of PVNR Express Way. According to Asifnagar police, Soren met with the accident on November 20 and died at a private hospital on Thursday night. He was a security guard of a star hotel and resident of Rajiv Nagar Colony of Gachibowli.
In a separate case, 24-year-old C Kondavi, succumbed to the injuries which he suffered on November 15 after being hit by a car near Vanasthalipuram. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment where he died on Thursday night. He was a native of Nalgonda and used to work as a Hammal at cement lorries in Injapur.
A police constable of Kushaiguda Police Station, K Venugopala Chary, died on the spot when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a car. He met with the accident while returning home to Alwal after the duty on Thursday night. A case has been registered against the car driver for rash driving.
In the last case, 22-year-old Wajid Ali of Malkajgiri, who suffered grievous injuries on November 17 died at the Gandhi Hospital on Friday morning. He was injured when the bike he was riding while returning from Jahangir Peeran Dargarh skidded near Bahadurpura. He was into plastic business, police said. (INN)
