Jodhpur, April 17: Six persons, including four policemen, were today injured in a clash between two communities, police said.
According to ADCP Jyoti Swaroop Sharma, two persons of separate communities in Pratap Nagar locality had a clash this morning following which a boy was attacked.
The boy escaped with minor injuries.
Irked by this, the people of other community laid a siege at the house of the attacker, who also sustained injuries.
A crowd that gathered at the spot pelted stones on the police, in which 4 policemen sustained injuries.
Police resorted to a lathicharge in order to disperse the crowd. The situation is under control but tense and police is taking stock of the situation.
“We have registered complaint from one side and have started the investigation. No complaint from other side has been registered so far,” ACP Harendra Kumar said.
