Muzaffarnagar, February 19:At least six people were injured seriously, some receiving gunshot wounds, in a clash over some poll-related rivalry in Nirana village here today.
The two sides also hurled stones at each other, police said adding two of the six injured suffered gunshot injuries.
The clash erupted between supporters of a Gram Pradhan and an ex-Gram Pradhan over some Panchayat election-related rivalry, they said.
The injured, two of them women, were admitted to a hospital.
